Can I come and work for JBF Toys and Trains?

If you are looking for an opportunity to work for JBF Toys and Trains please have a look at our current job openings.

We are always looking for LEGO® brick sorters. We purchase large quantities of LEGO® internationally, which often include many kilograms of unsorted bricks. We often need assistance sorting these out. Please send your motivation letter to contact@jbf.done-team.com.

Do you also have holiday jobs?

During some holidays and busier times (such as around Christmas), we also offer young people the chance to gain work experience with us. Shipping & Returns

How can I exchange my purchase in your shop?

It is possible to exchange your purchase in-store: you return to the shop with your purchase and the original receipt, select a new article and exchange it at the till. The same applies to a Click & Collect order. Depending on your purchase amount and the price of the new article, you will receive a refund or pay extra. The following conditions apply:

  • If you exchange an item for a more expensive one, you will need to pay the difference;
  • If you exchange an item for a less expensive one, you can receive up to 50 Euros in cash;
  • If the refund amount exceeds 50 Euros, you will receive a voucher for the balance.
  • If you return an item and do not wish to exchange it, you will not receive a cash refund. Instead, you will receive a voucher for the original purchase amount.

What is your return policy?

We understand that sometimes mistakes happen and you may have purchased a product incorrectly.

As long as the item is unopened and in its original condition, we accept returns within 14 days of purchase, subject to the Returns terms & conditions outlined below:

Returns Terms & Conditions

  • Items can be returned within 14 days of the purchase date by showing the original receipt.
  • Items can only be returned as long as the item is unopened and in its original condition.
  • Do you no longer have the original receipt? We can retrieve a copy of the receipt from the system if you know the exact date and time of purchase.
  • On presentation of a copy of the receipt, an item can be exchanged;
    • If you exchange an item for a more expensive one, you will need to pay the difference;
    • If you exchange an item for a less expensive one, you can receive up to 50 Euros in cash;
    • If the refund amount exceeds 50 Euros, you will receive a voucher for the balance.
    • If you return an item and do not wish to exchange it, you will not receive a cash refund. Instead, you will receive a voucher for the original purchase amount.
  • We can only take back items that are in unopened packaging and are resalable. If an item has been opened and used, it cannot be exchanged.
  • For software and hardware items, we will only exchange them if they are still sealed. If the seal is broken, unfortunately we cannot take the article back.
  • Products bought online can be returned in-store.
  • Vintage items have no return policy possibility.
  • Items that are customised (MOC build for customer, technical items build in, landscapes, etc) have no return policy possibility.
  • Gift Vouchers cannot be exchanged for money.
How can I return my online order?

Do NOT ship the item back to us prior to receiving a confirmation from us.

Returns Terms & Conditions

  • Items bought online can be returned within 14 days of the purchase date.
  • Returned items are your responsibility until they reach us, so make sure they’re packed up properly and can’t get damaged on the way!
  • As the parcel remains your responsibility until it is received by us, ensure that you ship it via a tracked service.
  • In case that the product is being returned due to an incorrect purchase, the postal charges will be the buyer’s responsibility. When you used the free shipping option during your purchase, or any other discount give, this will be deducted from the retuned funds.
  • Vintage items have no return policy possibility.
  • Items that are customised (MOC build for customer, technical items build in, landscapes, etc) have no return policy possibility.
  • The funds will be reimbursed on the same bank account/ way of payment as was used for the purchase.
  • If you have purchased within the EU Union and are returning the product from outside of the EU Union (UK, Switzerland, etc.) you will be responsible for the VAT/Import duties liable for the return.
  • Do NOT ship the item back to us prior to receiving a confirmation from us.
Can I also return my online order in your shop?

Yes, products bought online can be returned in-store. Also read about our Return Policy in FAQ.

How does Click & Collect work?

With our Click & Collect option, you can effortlessly browse and purchase your favorite LEGO® and model trains online, and then conveniently pick up your items in-store at your preferred time. You can pay online upfront or pay in-store.

What can I do if my parcel has been delivered damaged?

Of course, your parcel is not supposed to be delivered damaged and we are happy to assist you and find a solution. Please contact us at contact@jbf.done-team.com and include the order number and photos of the damage so that we can investigate it further.

What is your warranty policy?

Guaranteed Items

The guarantee period for an item is 2 years for new items and 1 year for vintage items from the date of purchase. If you wish to use this guarantee, please contact us by phone at +352 26 48 08 20 or by email at contact@jbf.done-team.com. Any items sent without prior approval will not be accepted.

Procurement

Can I sell my old LEGO® or Model Trains to JBF?

Yes, you can! We always welcome new stock.

Do you have vintage LEGO® or Model Trains lying around in the attic, unused? Is it in the way, or are you moving? Or perhaps the kids no longer play with it? Then give your items a second life and sell them to us.

JBF Toys and Trains specializes in sourcing all types of LEGO® – from loose, unsorted building bricks to extensive collections of sets and Model Trains.

How does it work?

First, please send us pictures of your (vintage) LEGO® or Model Trains via contact@jbf.done-team.com.

In case of selling LEGO®, please mention:

  • Whether the LEGO® set is complete;
  • Whether it is still in a sealed box or not;
  • If the packaging has any damage or not;
  • The condition of the LEGO® bricks (including any damages, missing pieces, or stickers).

In case of selling Model Trains and accessories, please mention:

  • The brand name;
  • Model train type;
  • Scale;
  • Whether the Model Train set is complete;
  • Whether it is still in the original packaging;
  • Its condition; is the train still working, any damages to the train or packaging etc.

We will then let you know as soon as possible whether we accept the set and at what price.

Model Trains

Do you also repair Model Trains?

Yes! Our model train specialist, Robert van den Oord, will be present in-store on Monday and Friday afternoons and Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Or, for specific questions or installations make an appointment.

Our dedicated service department is equipped to handle a wide range of repairs, from routine train cleaning to intricate decoder installations. All Model Trains can be tested on our track in the shop. If in-store repairs are not possible, we work with a specialist in The Netherlands.

Birthdays & Events

What languages do your staff members speak?

Our expert LEGO® enthusiasts are fluent in Luxembourgish, French, German, Dutch and English and they are there to ensure a seamless and joyous experience for all.

Can I bring my own cake?

Yes, please bring your own cake. Refreshments including juice, water, and a snack will be provided by us (and are included in the price). Plates, cutlery and napkins will also be provided by us.

Note that a food and drink moment at a children’s party in the shop should preferably take place before LEGO® building, so that the bricks do not get dirty.

From what age can my child celebrate his birthday at JBF Toys and Trains?

Children from 5 years old are welcome to celebrate their birthday at JBF Toys and Trains. We have a wide selection of LEGO® sets, suitable for all ages and in different levels of difficulty, for children to build with.

Do you have any easy/difficult LEGO® sets?

We have a wide selection of LEGO® sets, suitable for all ages and in different levels of difficulty, for children to build with.

Can the children also play freely with LEGO®?

Yes, children can also build freely and let their creativity run wild with our boxes of LEGO® bricks and base plates.
